Classes
  • 6 morning Pilates classes
  • 6 late afternoon yoga classes, yin, restorative and slow flow.
Massage and walks
  • 1 zen shiatsu massage with Myriam at the beginning of the week.
  • There are 3 guided walks to local restaurants – with the option to go by car if walking doesn’t suit you.
Food
  • 7 breakfasts
  • 3 lunches
  • 7 light evening meals (vegetarian and non-vegetarian catered for)

The Experience

Pilates

Each Pilates class with Caroline is a collection of different exercises to strengthen and stretch all parts of the body. The exercises are done with precision, yielding significant results in a short time. Caroline will help you improve the quality of your practice through verbal and physical cueing.  Whether you regularly practice Pilates or whether you’re a beginner you’ll learn something new!

Yoga

The yoga classes with Elsbeth for these weeks will be slow, helping you to ground, relax and open up. In the restorative class the body will be given a chance to rest deeply and revitalize. You will learn to slow down and tune into the body. In the Yin class we go a bit deeper into a pose, feeling a deeper stretch, with a lot of focus on the breath, and holding the pose also for a longer time. This helps to release fascia in the body and improve joint mobility. Helping you to calm and balance the mind and body. The practices are simple and accessible for all people of all ages and in all states of health, using props where needed.

Zen Shiatsu Massage

Zen Shiatsu is a technique that combines traditional Chinese medicinal practices, modern massage therapy, and Eastern holistic healing philosophies to provide clients with a revitalizing feeling and experience when they’re on the massage table. Good health and vitality depends on the overall balancing of Yin & Yang energy in the body that ultimately relies on the smooth flow of energy.  Myriam has 14 years of experience with this form of massage and healing 

The Team

Caroline began practising Pilates over 20 years ago and trained for two years, alongside her job as a school teacher, with Body Control Pilates in London in 2009/10. She then left her teaching role to run her own successful Pilates business full-time before relocating to France November 2020. The following trainings were successfully finished: Matwork Nov 2009 – First Aid Course Mar 2010 (updated every 3 years) – Intermediate matwork Mar 2010 – Antenatal pregnancy July 2010 – Ante and postnatal pregnancy Nov 2010 – Pilates on the ball October 2010 – Psoas April 2012 – Optimum shoulder function April 2012 – Pilates for children May 2013 – Pilates for children 5-11 Aug 2013 – Matwork Evolution Feb 2014 – Low Back Pain (level 4) ongoing – Gravity Pilates November 2017 – Older person’s Pilates September 2018

Elsbeth began practising yoga in France, 2005. After teacher training in 2014 with Union Yoga she started her own classes and has been teaching ever since. As a dynamic person with her own businesses and as a person who doesn’t like sitting still, she discovered that slow yoga helped her ground and relax deeply. That’s when her interest in restorative and yin yoga were awakened. She has followed additional training in Yin and restorative yoga after her initial training in 2014.
